Job Description
DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS
Job Summary:
Responsible for the inspection department field crews and office staff. Oversee production, scheduling, and the report writing process.
Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and standards to improve customer service and minimize inspection costs
- Develop and maintain metrics to objectively gauge efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Work with customers and sales team regarding schedules, crew capabilities, site requirements, pre-job paperwork, and assist in bidding specialty projects
- Monitor and improve the quality of pictures, data, measurements, and videos taken in the field by implementing new policies and standard procedures
- Verify that current codes are being used to produce quality and accurate reports
- Ensure inspection report templates and software are up to date for writing reports
- Track and monitor the status of all projects from the point of sale to invoice and completion
- Strategic planning, including identifying “value-added” initiatives
- Manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently
- Maintaining a high level of communication and flow of information within the Department, including expectations, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Promote open and ongoing communications between various departments, customers, and personnel
- Provide individual development and performance monitoring
- Ensure that the Company budget forecasting and accrual processes are properly implemented and followed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, other degrees or related work experience will be considered
- A technical understanding of storage tanks
- Excellent customer service skills, and ability to work with all levels of management and employees
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong project coordination, planning and management skills
- Effective analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate problems from various perspectives and make sound recommendations
- Self-motivated and willing to learn new and changing technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work schedules and objectives and maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with tank specifications, standards, and recommended practices
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations and agencies
