The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office and ensuring the effective implementation of services, policies, and programs. Reports directly to the HR Manager on the following functional areas : Payroll (processing weekly), staffing (hourly), benefit administration, reporting and event planning. Assists and advises managers and supervisors regarding HR issues with continual emphasis on organizational improvement and high-performance.
Responsibilities
Staffing, including recruitment of hourly positions; onboarding, performance review process; leave administration and job posting process.
- Employee Relations including coordination of employee functions, meetings, celebrations, recognition and service awards, exit interviews.
- Health and welfare administration including benefits open enrollment.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems to effect continual improvement in efficiency and services.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and files, including Kronos and Workforce Now.
- Provides administrative support to the plant.
- Hourly payroll processing
- Community relations and employee engagement
