Summary & Primary Functions

The Mission of the Partnership Marketing team is to maintain and grow partnership revenue and increase the organization’s efficiency and profitability.

The Partnership Marketing team contributes to profit growth by delivering contracted value, finding value add opportunities, and building strong relationships. The primary measurement for the Partnership Marketing and Partnership Sales teams, collectively, is revenue generation and the ability to find partners to fund and support specific initiatives of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.

This position will have dual responsibilities in maintaining a book of business while managing specific operations responsibilities for the Partnership Marketing department. Through strong internal and external relationships, this role will have complete awareness of each of their partners’ objectives and work alongside all applicable departments to execute contracted elements and create business value. Operations responsibilities will assist in increasing department communication and efficiency, especially in the areas of ticketing, hosting, and hospitality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of Pittsburgh Penguins corporate partners and provide as-needed assistance for a list of Penguins corporate partners
  • Build relationships with partner representatives at all levels – from C-suite to day-to-day team members – to develop a deep understanding of each partner’s business objectives
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver and maximize value of current benefits and assets to meet partner business objectives, including B2B, activation and branding, while fostering positive work environment
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute in-arena and off-site events and activations
  • Work with applicable parties to prove out ROI and other success measures for partners
  • Host partners at games, trips and non-hockey events
  • Work with Executive Director of Partnerships on upsell and renewal strategy as it relates to your book of business
  • When applicable, work with Partnership Solutions to execute ideation sessions related to upsell and renewal strategy
  • Manage Game Day Hosting & Hospitality Process
  • Manage hosting ticketing inventory & send tickets and parking to partners, manage suite hosting
  • Generating hosting summaries & communicating with Partnerships team/leadership
  • Manage partner suite selection process & partner season ticket rollover process each offseason
  • Act as Ticketing & Premium Department liaison internally and externally
  • Fulfill contracted & non-contracted ticketing needs and requests from partners/Partnerships Department
  • Manage communication between partners/Partnerships Department and Box Office
  • Track Partnerships-related ticketing & premium revenue generation and fulfillment of ticket and hospitality banks

Troubleshoot Ticketmaster & ParkWhiz issues with partners

  • Other duties as assigned
