The Fenway Sports Management Partnership Solutions & Sales team at the Pittsburgh Penguins is looking for a driven, creative, and curious intern to join our team for the upcoming summer. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support the development of partnership strategies and storytelling narratives for new and existing partners across the Pittsburgh Penguins and the broader Fenway Sports Group portfolio.
As a Partnership Solutions and Sales Intern, you’ll assist in a range of responsibilities including presentation development, brand research and prospecting, asset organization, and sales support. You’ll gain exposure to the strategic and creative process behind building brand partnerships in professional sports, while collaborating with various departments across the Penguins.
This role reports to the Manager, Partnership Solutions at the Penguins and will work closely with the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Partnership Sales and Partnership Marketing teams, offering valuable insight into both the business and creative sides of sports partnerships.

- Support the development and ideation of commercial marketing platforms across the Pittsburgh Penguins and at times, Sportsnet Pittsburgh.
- Coordinate with the sales team to help build pitch presentations materials utilized to support all active brand conversations while meeting key brand objectives/KPI’s.
- Build and manage partnership terms sheets.
- Work alongside internal business stakeholders and key departments in building integrated partnership opportunities.
- Compile and gain insights from market research across sports and entertainment industries to share collectively across the Penguins & FSM Partnerships team.
- Support the Partnership Sales team in prospecting strategy efforts, including identifying key categories, brands and marketing initiatives to leverage.
- Participate in sales meetings with Penguins and FSM sales/new business reps as needed.
- Assist in the management of all CRM activity and pipeline.
- Assist in client hosting events and sales meeting preparations.

- Student pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Must receive college credit for completion of the internship program.
- Estimated timeframe of internship: early May 2025 – early August 2025
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint); experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is a plus.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong storytelling capabilities is a plus.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Passion for sports marketing, media, promotions, and sponsorship sales.
- Must be able to work in-person at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
