What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Production Associate (FT/Post Graduate Intern) position at Pittsburgh Steelers?
This position will be responsible for assisting in the creation of diverse types of media for all Steelers-related outlets including In-Game, Television, Digital, and other mediums as necessary. The position will assist the Steelers’ staff through editing, motion graphics creation, and videography as well as designing, maintaining, and supporting live sets, virtual sets, press conferences, and other venues as required. The position must be able to act independently while fulfilling these responsibilities and requires knowledge of video production and studio production.
- This is a full-time position, with regular, in-person office hours. Term will be for one (1) year with option to extend for second year.
- Assist and execute all aspects of video production including, creative concept and development, writing, directing, lighting, shooting, motion graphics creation, and video editing.
- Design, compose, and/or create various and professional shooting environments, both studio-based and in the field.
- Utilize both video editing and motion graphics techniques to support daily production.
- Understand and act upon an extensive knowledge of video formats, codecs, and transcoding/dubbing procedures, both digital and physical.
- Work as a member of a broadcast department which includes editors, videographers, and graphic designers to meet stated company-wide goals.
- Maintain metadata and digital assets in a mass media management environment.
- Create and deliver assets pertinent to the Pittsburgh Steelers to multiple platforms on-time and on-budget.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and extended hours as needed
- Highly creative thinking and experience with taking creative ideas and translating them to visual presentations and pieces.
- Knowledge of HD video equipment, including menu-driven, professional HD cameras (Knowledge of Canon Cine cameras a plus).
- Control Room/Studio experience and knowledge of studio lighting and audio methods.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Premiere, Photoshop, and AfterEffects minimum requirements).
- Extensive knowledge of video formats, codecs, and their appropriate applications.
- Great diligence, and the ability and flexibility to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in comfortably interacting with professional athletes and celebrities.
- Must be able to take initiative, multi-task, and independently complete tasks and projects.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal clients regarding video projects.
- Must maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times and be receptive to input and constructive criticism.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and operate equipment up to 20 lbs and be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Some duties may be in all weather conditions outside.
