Position Overview:
We are seeking a certified Middle School Math Teacher who is committed to student growth, creative in their approach to instruction, and skilled at making math accessible for all learners. The ideal candidate will be able to break down complex mathematical concepts, create engaging lessons, and support students at varying levels of proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach 6th grade math, 7th grade math, and Pre-Algebra in a supportive and structured classroom setting
- Use data to drive instruction and provide targeted support for students
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging, standards-based lessons
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff to ensure academic success
- Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving
Qualifications:
- Florida Teaching Certification in Middle Grades Mathematics (5-9) required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience teaching in a middle or high school setting preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with students in a supportive, small-school environment
