The Youth Engagement Specialist will maintain a commitment to the mission and vision of Pivot. Under the direct supervision of Pivot leadership, the Youth Engagement Specialist will adhere to Pivot operational policies and procedures. The Youth Engagement Specialist will promote a supervised and safe environment to youth that is trauma-focused and provides the youth and the community with emotional support. The Youth Engagement Specialist will engage the youth on the 5 domains (Employment, Permanent Connection, Housing, and basic needs, Education and Well-being).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be 21 years of age, pass an OSBI and DHS criminal background investigation and not be listed in any Registry of Sexual offenders.

Ability to address conflict well and manage difficult youth in a supportive and non-threatening manner; able to respond quickly and safely and serve as a settling influence in crisis situations and emergencies.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or a GED certificate, Bachelor’s degree or further education in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology preferred
Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret general periodicals, professional journals and government regulations
Ability to write reports business correspondence and maintain accurate statistical data
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, consumers, employees, management, and the general public
Ability to perform basic high school mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals, percentage, rates and averages)
Ability to interpret graphs and statistical data
Basic data entry and typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Crisis Intervention Training
Posses and Produce valid Oklahoma Drivers License and current vehicle insurance verification
Be current and or willing to become certified in CPR, First Aid, and Agency Health and Safety procedures'
