Job Description
The Industrial Athletic Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive wellness programs to prevent injuries and promote health among employees. Key responsibilities include:
- Ergonomic Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Wellness Initiatives: Design and implement site-specific programs to promote healthy behaviors and habits.
- First Aid and Injury Management: Provide emergency care and manage musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of ice, heat, stretching, and bracing.
- Treatment Planning: Coordinate and implement treatment plans that incorporate exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in athletic training, with experience in injury prevention and ergonomic risk assessment. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) are required. State licensure and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are also essential.
