About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and managing the day-to-day operations of our onsite health care clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced healthcare professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational health settings, strong administrative and management skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. In addition, they should be proficient in Microsoft Office, have current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and be familiar with manufacturing and production facility practices. The position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for performing post-offer physicals and non-work-related/return-to-work medical clearance examinations, providing urgent and episodic care to employees, responding to in-plant medical emergencies, evaluating employees with acute episodic illness, referring when appropriate, assessing, diagnosing, treating, and providing ongoing medical management of workplace injuries and non-occupational conditions, writing prescriptions and facilitating referrals in collaboration with the physician, case management of workman's compensation claims in conjunction with the employer representative and insurance carrier, assuring compliance with OSHA and DOT programs, maintaining health care unit inventory of medications and supplies, and more.
