We are seeking a talented Design Engineer for Signage Solutions to join our team at Pivotal Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing signs that meet customer specifications and wind load calculations.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with our manufacturing, graphics, account management, installation services, and installation drawing teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review and analyze structural calculations provided by external structural engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, documentation, and project progress to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with training employees in engineering-related processes and stay updated on industry developments.
- Contribute to the growth and success of our engineering team by assisting with workload and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in structural steel and aluminum structures.
- Strong understanding of design codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS.
- Familiarity with AWS D1.1, D1.2, and D1.6 standards and specifications.
- Experience with RISA and/or Ansys is an asset.
