Job Duties, Responsibilities, Qualifications, and Requirements
Job Summary
Technicians are required to follow directions carefully, have basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, manual dexterity, good eyesight and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. Will work from written and verbal instructions to hand assemble devices using basic hand tools. Technician will also use computers and hand tools simultaneously with custom programs to adjust devices. Will also pack devices and prepare boxes for shipping, as well as work with light weight assemblies. A prime candidate will be someone with mechanical abilities that is willing to learn.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Similar to Manf Tech 1 with increased expectations for skill, performance and experience
2. Attention to detail and quality is required
3. Reads and understands assembly instructions, drawings and work orders
4. Performs Advanced Assembly Procedures, will include detailed hardware installation, plus in-process and final assembly of a wide variety of parts, and models
5. Able to efficiently use computers and custom programs
6. Able to understand basic principles of gas flow, units of pressure, voltage, resistance, torque
7. Must maintain clearly legible documentation, and device travelers
8. Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
9. Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors
10. Able to understand and comply with Safety Practices and ISO Class 6-7 Clean-room Practices
11. Complies with required daily / weekly / monthly preventive maintenance requirements and also trains the technicians to be certified at their respective stations as part of the training management
12. Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
13. Knowledge of common hand tools, torque wrenches and demonstrated mechanical capabilities
14. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, with many devices in various states of assembly at the same time
15. Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
16. Use and knowledge of epoxy resins and proper handling
17. Able to package and crates parts for shipment
18. Able to train and mentor new technicians or others.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Shift lead- mentor 1-2 people on similar stations
Education And / Or Experience
High school diploma or GED required - College or Trade School Preferred. 3 years experience in related field may be substituted for education. Must have effective written and verbal English communication skills. Must be able to follow verbal and written, detailed directions, meet deadlines, and operate as a team member.
Must be able to receive and execute safety and Copy exact training
Must pass all Pivotal training requirements and certifications prior to working alone on a station.
Language, Mathematical, And / or Reasoning Ability
English (fluent) written and spoken
Physical Demands
Pick up and lift up to 50lbs, no allergies to latex, no asthma. Must be able to detect colors.
Work Environment
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for an entire shift. Must be able to sit, stand, or crouch down for extended periods. Use of hairnets, latex gloves, shoe coverings, and lab coats is required at all times. Must be comfortable working with magnifying glasses, microscopes, and tweezers. No sensitivity to latex, epoxies, glues or solvents.
