**The Role**
As a Full Stack Engineer at PLS, you will join our global AI and data intelligence team, developing advanced AI and data-driven tools for life sciences investment. Your contributions will enhance a "smart investment system," merging technical skills with innovative AI applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse datasets and engage in innovative projects within the life sciences sector.
**Responsibilities**
- **Collaborative Development:** Work closely with Investment and Research teams to create user-friendly, visually appealing front-end applications tailored to investment needs.
- **Cutting-Edge Technology:** Develop cloud-based solutions focusing on seamless UI/UX while enabling AI model integration and multi-dataset analytics.
- **Technical Contributions:** Actively participate as a core team member, sharing your expertise in cloud and UI services.
- **End-to-End Engineering:** Manage the software lifecycle, including conception, deployment, automated testing, and ongoing enhancements.
- **Continuous Improvement:** Contribute to technology roadmaps and standards in alignment with enterprise architecture.
**Qualifications**
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- **Experience:** 5 years as a Full Stack Engineer.
- **Front-End Expertise:** Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and libraries such as React.js, Angular, or jQuery.
- **Back-End Development:** Familiarity with server-side languages like Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET.
- **Database Skills:** Experience with SQLServer, MySQL, MongoDB, and knowledge of caching tools like Redis or Memcached.
- **Cloud Proficiency:** Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-based application development.
- **UI/UX Design:** Understanding of UI/UX principles and basic prototyping skills.
- **Server Experience:** Proficient with Nginx or Apache servers and Linux environments.
- **Team Collaboration:** Proven ability to work effectively in an international team, driving innovative solutions in research and technical settings.
- **Communication:** Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- **Hybrid Work Schedule:** In-office presence in San Francisco at least 3 days per week with the option to work from home 2 days per week.
- **Salary Range:** $151,000 - $205,000 total compensation. (base salary bonus)
