Job Title: Host/Cashier
Starting pay is $9-$13 an hour plus tips averaging $6-$9 dollars an hour. For example, on the low end for entry level positions the average would be $15 an hour. For qualified individuals they could reach $22 or more an hour.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Host/Cashier to join our team. As a Host/Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, seating guests, and processing payments accurately and efficiently.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the flow of guests
- Provide guests with menus and assist in answering any questions regarding menu items
- Process guest payments using the HungerRush POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station
- Assist servers and other team members as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
Skills:
- Experience with FoodTec POS or similar POS systems
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette for taking reservations and handling inquiries
- Previous experience in a hotel, food service, or restaurant setting is preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills to address guest concerns efficiently
- Positive attitude and willingness to help team members as needed
