We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash with care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Skills
- Proficient in food handling practices to ensure safety and quality.
- Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
