What are the responsibilities and job description for the Towing Dispatcher position at PJ's Towing & Recovery?
This position is located in Lexington Park office and will be 40 hours per week. This position requires availability from 2pm to 10pm, including weekends. We are a medium sized towing company that operates 24/7/365 and employs approximately 13 people. This job supports our towing, impound, emergency response, and breakdown services, and as a result there are pressure points and challenges that require a person able to make multiple correct decisions under pressure.
Duties:
o Take incoming calls for towing service, police impound, and accidents and general questions, provide correct fees to accounts and customers
o Coordinate and dispatch multiple drivers in an organized manner. Call customers confirm breakdown location, phone number vehicle information and problem with vehicle. Communicate information to driver in dispatching software.
o Perform releases and cashier duties for impounded vehicles with potentially dishonest, demanding, and challenging customers.
o Process impoundment paperwork and maintain compliance with all requirements for the laws of towing and impoundment
. o Administrative and clerical duties.
o Abandoned vehicle management.
o Billing and collection of towing services
o Cash and deposit management.
Requirements: Emergency call center or dispatch experience required
Keyboarding 50 words per minute. Excellent computer skills. Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and very organized. Strong desire to help people and solve challenging problems.
Able to work under pressure.
Reliable Transportation.
Salary is a starting range, depending on skills

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 42 per week
