Position Overview: The Towing Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all towing operations within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day towing operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Staff Supervision:
- Recruit, train, and manage towing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support to staff.
- Police Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies to facilitate police-directed towing operations.
- Respond promptly to police tow requests, ensuring a quick and effective towing process.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal towing regulations, including maintaining proper permits and licenses.
- Ensure all equipment, tow trucks and tow yard is organized, functional and operational.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the safety of employees and the public.
- Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries and complaints related to towing services, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage the resolution of disputes and coordinate the return of towed vehicles to owners.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee budgetary planning and control for towing operations, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare reports on operational performance, financial metrics, and other key performance indicators.
- Equipment Management:
- Ensure that all towing equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly.
- Coordinate repairs and upgrades as necessary to support operational efficiency.
- Training and Development:
- Organize training sessions for staff on towing best practices, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in towing regulations to facilitate team knowledge.
- Knowledge of Towbooks software is a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in towing operations or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to operational management.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to towing and vehicle recovery.
