What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at PKF O'Connor Davies?
Our client, a family owned woodworking business in Linden, NJ is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team.
- Maintains employee files in an organized & efficient format
- Oversee weekly / biweekly payrolls for all locations using ADP WFN
- Review payroll inputs from various internal sources, to ensure accurate payroll processing for multiple payrolls
- Submit Month End Payroll Reports to Accounting
- Audit Health Benefit Invoices Monthly and send to Accounting for Payment
- Negotiate and Coordinate Health Benefit Renewals Yearly
- Oversee Coordination with new employee orientation / onboarding, such as tours, new hire paperwork & benefits
- Maintains and monitors employee benefits such as FMLA, 401K
- Handles incoming phone calls in a professional manner & directs them to the appropriate personnel
- Oversee bulletin boards with dated material
- Processes all unemployment claims
- Maintains and post OSHA Log yearly
- Coordinate all OSHA mandated training / First Aid Training
- Maintain all DOT paperwork and follow FMCSA guidelines
- Processes worker's compensation forms to insurance companies, acts as a liaison between employee, insurance company & home office
- Places help wanted ads for all departments
- Coordinate job interviews
- Disperses and request any tax forms, W'4's, etc. in timely manner
- Attends disciplinary meetings with administrator and department heads
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Process in house pension payments and coordinate with Accounting Department to schedule the wires
- Manually Process all W4-P's annually and process all the 1099-R
- Oversee and confirm I9’s are processed through E-Verify verify information as required
The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000.00 - $110,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
