Facilities Maintenance - Now Hiring

PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS

(1) Qualified by reason of education and/or experience. (2) Minimum of two (2) years experience in maintenance services. (3) Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and facilities repair, service and preventive maintenance.

Able to understand, interpret and communicate complex directions, instructions and other forms of specifications relative to assigned projects. Able to manage multiple priorities and respond to multiple demands in timely and professional manner. Able to maintain high level of proficiency under pressure. Able to demonstrate appropriate communication skills as needed to verify, question, and coordinate work-in-process. Able to assess quality of own work as well as others and troubleshoot potential problems as necessary. Able to visualize a finished project and incorporate improvements to enhance productivity. Able to work productively with all areas of the organization.

Accurate knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines. Accurate knowledge of and demonstrable skills in interpersonal communication and conflict management. Demonstrable skills in applicable safe work practices.

Demonstrates high degree of professional behavior and appearance, work ethic, attention to detail, honesty and reliability. Demonstrates ability to manage stress constructively and maintain a positive, even temperament during periods of frustration, ambiguity, and change.

• Perform building maintenance in one or more fields including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing.
• Perform general cleaning.
• Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance to replace or repair fixtures including, but not limited to, wall switches, outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs/tubes, ballast and sockets.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance including, but not limited to, repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines.
• Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work.
• Reconfigures, installs, positions and remounts modular offices and space to accommodate user needs and maximize office space.
• Performs mowing and weed control for the facilities along with the upkeep of the lawn care equipment. Assist with snow removal as needed.
• Pick up parts and motors in town and outside town.
• Deliver loads to local customers for Project Managers.
• Change oil and fuel maintenance vehicles.
• Assists with inmate transport to and from facility and different pre-employment test sites as needed.
• Requisition maintenance related items, verify receipt of correct materials and document use of same.
