Our valued client in the Denver Tech Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of IT to lead our dedicated team responsible for delivering and supporting a wide range of technologies and business areas. In this role, you will collaborate directly with business and IT stakeholders to identify new technology opportunities, optimize processes, and drive strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass setting timelines, resource allocation, and cost management to ensure the successful execution of projects. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a talented IT team, aligning their efforts with our organization's goals, and fostering a culture of innovation.
As the Director of IT, you will be instrumental in identifying areas for improvement, integrating technologies from acquisitions, and establishing strong relationships with external partners and suppliers. Additionally, you will champion best practices and technology standards, contribute to departmental budgeting, and oversee a portfolio of projects from inception to completion, ensuring transparency to stakeholders and timely communication of project status. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing, coaching, and developing your team, identifying key performers and areas for improvement, and proactively addressing retention risks to drive the continued success of our client.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of experience in a technology organization, with successful experience in a leadership role supporting a medium to large company or transferrable experience
- Experience managing network security, cloud computing, and disaster recovery teams.
- Demonstrated leadership in previous roles, with successful development and advancement of team members
- Experience working with business and technology leaders to identify and implement support models that benefit the organization
- Experience managing technology projects to completion within time and budget while delivering stakeholder satisfaction
