**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Zoning Compliance Officer to join our team at Placer County. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing state and local zoning, building, health and safety, land use, and housing codes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Research and investigate complaints and concerns related to zoning and land use.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Meet with property owners and businesses to educate them on code compliance requirements.
**Requirements:**
- One (1) year of public contact involving interpretation and explanation or enforcement of laws and regulations for Code Enforcement Officer - I position.
- Two (2) years of responsible experience performing duties similar to Code Enforcement Officer I in Placer County for Code Enforcement Officer - II position.
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- Possession of a valid certificate of completion of Penal Code 832 Course in Arrest, Search, and Seizure issued by California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training to be obtained within twelve (12) months of employment.
