Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Escrow Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating real estate transactions by assisting with the escrow process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients. Mobile home experience is a plus!
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and review of escrow documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate communication between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders throughout the escrow process.
- Manage the collection of necessary documentation for loan processing, including financial statements and credit reports.
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurately documented.
- Conduct research on Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association) guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Support loan officers by providing necessary information for credit analysis and underwriting processes.
- Facilitate the disbursement of funds at closing and assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the transaction.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of loan processing and mortgage servicing practices.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and TILA requirements.
- Experience in financial services, including credit analysis and underwriting.
- Proficiency in working with FNMA guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
