Placers Professional is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a permanent role with our client in New Castle County.
In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing processes, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post transactions to QuickBooks Enterprise
- Process AP and AR
- Reconcile intercompany and balance sheet accounts, resolve discrepancies
- Maintain general ledgers, monthly/yearly close processes
- Review transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment
- Oversee the credit card payments and reconcile merchant account
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Monitor general ledger to ensure integrity of data
- File monthly and quarterly taxes
- Compile financial statements and Ad hoc reports
- Collaborate with vendors, outside accountants and other institutions
- Assist with and handle special projects as needed
- Prepare 1099 filings
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeping/Accounting role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel required
- Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
