Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our ACT team in St. Louis, MO.

As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing vocational services for our clients. You will provide individualized career planning, job placement, and retention support, while also building strong relationships with employers and community partners. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized career plans for clients, providing job placement and retention support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and community partners to create job opportunities and facilitate long-term vocational success.
  • Conduct vocational assessments, provide job coaching, and support clients in their job search and retention efforts.
  • Collaborate with the ACT team to provide comprehensive support services to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and provide regular updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Travel extensively to conduct job development and supports, including transporting clients.


Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in an applicable field from an accredited institution preferred.
  • At least one year of experience providing employment services.


Additional Qualifications:
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills required.


Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
