The Maintenance Assistant at Places for People (PfP) is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all PfP-owned properties. Work hours may routinely include weekends or late evenings.

Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Assists in carrying out ongoing preventative maintenance programs
- Reviews work order priorities daily and ensures that they are completed
- Performs routine maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs and repairing doors/windows
- Ensures that facility grounds and parking lots are clean of debris and garbage
- Makes sure the lawns are free of weeds and the grass is cut properly
- Provides input in painting, redecorating and reorganization projects
- Reports any acts of vandalism to the Maintenance Coordinator
- Maintains periodic log of general and preventative maintenance activities performed
- Ensures that floors are scrubbed and polished periodically
- Ensures safety of driveways by coordinating salt sprinkling activities during snowy weather
- Ensures consistent timely, responsive, and respectful customer service is provided
- Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency requirements and supervisor
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience performing minor repairs on properties, building systems, and vehicles
- Must have personal vehicle, valid Class E license and proof of current insurance
- CPR and First Aid certifications (certifications can be provided upon hire)
