The Human Resources Assistant provides professional and procedural support and expertise in the administration of a broad range of human resources functions and / or programs to support the Human Resources department.
Essential Accountabilities
- Greets individuals coming to the human resources department and directs them to the appropriate HR team member when needed.
- Responds to applicant and team member inquiries related to job opportunities, forms requests, procedures or by referring inquiry to the appropriate HR team member.
- Ensure completion of new hire and termination paperwork into HRIS.
- Department meeting minutes / action plan.
- Conduct motor vehicle checks once / year.
- Coordinate all HR departmental meetings.
- Manage the new hire orientation process and ensure compliance by collaborating with departmental experts.
- Maintain company organizational chart. Update once a month.
- Assist with coordination of training programs, and maintenance of training records. Add, Term, update ee's in training software. Send out past due and upcoming training reports.
- Open, date stamp, and distribute departmental mail daily as well as manage the on-line mail or fax system.
- Keep filing up to date, i.e., personnel files, term files, I-9, etc.
- Manage company t-shirt process, cups, new hire gifts, etc.
- I-9 Auditing.
- Unemployment paperwork and employment verification.
- Assist in the scheduling of the on-site safety shoe truck and enter purchases into the system for invoicing.
- Process all team member payroll changes such as direct deposit, tax forms, tool reimbursements, etc.
- Assist with development and dissemination of company communications.
- Issue security access cards for full-time and temporary employees and maintain security access system data.
- Process departmental invoicing.
- Assist employees with education and access to the HRIS system.
- Order annual labor law posters and ensure all company communication boards are up to date.
- Order all departmental office supplies and orientation items.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in administrative assistant or related field preferred and 3 years of experience in a highly responsible administrative role; or 5 years of experience in a highly administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing office environment.

Travel Frequency (in addition to seminars or related training) :
No travel to our satellite (out of state) locations required for this position.
