What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Monitor position at Plainedge Public Schools?
Monitors are needed to supervise children and maintain order in the hallways and/or lunchrooms.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervising children in a lunchroom or in hallways
- Helping children find seats and maintaining order
- Cleaning up minor spills on occassion
- Assisting younger children with their apparel
Job Qualifications
Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:
- Good general intelligence
- Abillity to be firm yet courteous
- Ability to get along well with children
- Some knowledge of first aid methods
- Good powers of observation
- Good physical condition
