Credentials and Education/Experience
- Education Degree preferred
- One - Two years related experience or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of modern business communication, including style format of letters, memoranda, record keeping and reports
- Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner, using the English language
- Strong Leadership and Management skills
- Ability to prepare outlines of instructional programming and studies
- Ability to teach and instruct students as needed
- Good planning and organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Efficient with MS Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
- Ability to climb stairs, run, and jump if needed
Job Summary/General Description: Takes attendance, helps organize students to prospective classes, assists with handing out snack, checks classrooms to ensure students are responding to assignments and activities as required, reviews and ensures all behavioral issues and incidents are written up properly, prepares spreadsheets with pertinent information, makes calls to parents as needed, communicates with parents, teachers and principals, spearhead action research project for site, organize student culminating events for parents and community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily after school activities including student attendance, site operations, and parent communication and relay that information to the data administrator
- Ensure monthly attendance is input in the student database
- Communicate with school-day teachers and Management regarding specific student needs
- Oversee the written behavior incident reports as they occur as well as counsel students when situations arise
- Build positive relationships with parents, staff, school day administration and teachers
- Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of monthly parent meetings/activities
- Make phone calls to get subs when group leaders are absent and/ or prepare to fill in as needed
- Must demonstrate sensitivity in working with students and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
- Facilitate monthly site and quarterly staff meetings
- Ensure all staff are following project based learning guidelines and collect weekly lesson plans
- Supervise preparation of staff and students for quarterly culminating events
- Attend all conferences and professional development training
- Ensure all PCO policies & grant procedures are implemented and enforced
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Special Requirements Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by Project Director
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
