What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Medical Receptionist position at Plainfield Family Chiropractic?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized hard working individual to join our office as our front desk receptionist. We are looking for someone to become part of a growing practice and always make the care and compassion for our patients a priority. To be successful in this position you must be:
- A people person. This requires confident, professional and friendly verbal and written communication with our patients as well as your fellow team members.
- A multi-tasker and self starter. The core responsibilities require a high level of ability to handle phones, scheduling and moving patients through the office during patient care hours in a very timely manner.
- A problem solver and team player. Consistently thinking outside the box to bring solutions to potential challenges and having the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced atmosphere. Working with other team members to help make our small team efficient and mighty.
Day to day responsibilities include:
-Greeting patients, scheduling office visits, sending patients to treatment rooms, managing patient forms for insurance, treatment plans and other data requirements, taking and posting payments for services rendered.
-Communication via phone, text, email and fax to support patient care and office operations.
-Qualify insurances and assist patient care coordinator with new patient onboarding.
-Opening and closing the office, closing out financials at the end of the day and week, maintaining a clean and neat reception space, maintain inventory/supplies.
-Other supportive duties for both the doctor and patient care coordinator as needed.
Experience requirements for consideration:
-Previous work in a medical office including experience with electronic health record software
-Excellent computer skills including navigating web, cloud, word and excel
-Previous work in a job that required a high level of organization, multitasking and communication is strongly preferred.
-Professional oral and written communication including proper grammar and spelling.
Schedule:
-Mon, Wed, Thurs 7:30- 6 with 1 to 1.5 hour lunch break, Tue 1:30-6, Fri 7:30-12
