VP Business Banker
This position reports to the Market President and is primarily responsible for overall management of an assigned business or agricultural loan portfolio. Responsibilities include originating loans and managing the assigned portfolio in terms of growth, mix, margin, credit quality, and fee income.
Qualities of the successful candidate include :
- A four-year degree in business administration or equivalent experience with 3-5 years' experience lending for a community bank
- Must have detailed knowledge of banking rules and regulations and Bank products offered.
- Construction and / or agricultural lending experience is a plus.
- Professional appearance and attitude are a must.
- Must have knowledge of credit analysis, credit policy / procedures, problem loan administration, and financial budgeting and planning.
- Computer knowledge and the ability to learn various software programs is a must.
- Attention to detail while composing, typing, and proofing loan documents.
- Must have the ability to calculate figures and have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and work under stress and pressure.
- Must be dependable, trustworthy and maintain confidentiality.
- Must be available and willing to travel to offsite locations when the employer deems it necessary to meet business or ag needs.
- Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written. Must be able to communicate with co-workers, colleagues, and customers effectively and professionally.
