Under direct supervision assists customers with opening accounts, processing check orders, issuing debit cards, general maintenance on existing accounts, and other account related duties as needed. Provide excellent customer service in person and when responding to customer calls.
- High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent.
- Minimum one year retail customer service or banking experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with basic calculator skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
- Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.

Open new accounts and cross sell bank products and services:
- Greet customer and make personal introduction.
- Explain various account options for checking, savings, certificates of deposit, safe deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts.
- Enquiry for pertinent financial information to assess customer’s needs and guide customer to best product.
- Input customer information and prepare required documentation to open the new account.
- Review and explain required account documentation with customer and obtain their signature.
- Place check orders for customer.
- Produce debit cards for customer.
- Enter customer information into On-Line Banking database.
Provide customer service to bank customers and employees :
- Respond to routine inquiries regarding bank products and services for both customers and employees. These inquiries are made in person, via the telephone or by mail.
- Prepare replacement signature cards per customer request.
- Accept change of address per customer request.
- Place stop payment orders on checks per customer request.
- Close checking, savings, certificates of deposit, safe deposit box and Individual Retirement Accounts.
- Process requests for e-statements.
- Accept wire transfers.
- Process IRA contributions and distributions.
- Prepare Affidavits of Forgery, Forged Endorsement and Fictitious Check.
- Offer Notary service.
