Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are looking for a Construction Engineer with a strong background in large-scale government and healthcare facility construction and renovation projects. This is a 2-year position.project based in Palo Alto, CA, with a salary of $100,000 – $130,000 per annum (based on experience and qualifications).
In this role, you will oversee all facets of the construction process, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Apply expert knowledge of building products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
- Accurately estimate construction costs and negotiate equitable contract adjustments.
- Conduct meetings to resolve project issues and brief clients and management teams.
- Maintain official construction site records and prepare correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and scheduling methods.
- Perform materials take-offs, cost estimations, and contract negotiations.
- Handle crisis management and conflict resolution effectively.
- Implement safety best practices, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
