What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate EPC Project Manager position at Planet Forward?
The Associate EPC Project Manager is responsible for small projects and supports lower complexity projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The Associate EPC Project Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, quality control and status reporting and closing on assigned projects andprogram tasks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the planning and execution of the Project Lifecycle Process (PLP) which includes preparation of plans, schedule planning and other standardized project management deliverables, while meeting the agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
Assist with financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
Support the development and managing overall project execution plans and metric tracking for assigned projects
Assist with the development of project schedules with Project Scheduling group utilizing the schedule tool to include schedule concepts, constraints, integrate risks and risk mitigations, items in appropriate level of detail, track schedule process. Communicate schedule to project team.
Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders, both internal and external and outside agencies.
Identify and manage risks, issues and constraints impacting project execution. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
Identify and recommend new processes, techniques and standards that drive performance and process improvement as well as problem solving on existing projects for process improvements.
Perform Substation Program Management assistance, including but not limited to, data gathering, data management, host meetings with stakeholders, and develop reports as necessary.

Education :
The selected candidate must have :
Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or other relivent field
Project Management Professional certification preferred
5 or more years of engineering / business experience with demonstrated capability to lead medium to large scale projects, simultaneously with multiple small scale projects
Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Planning, organizational and leadership skills
Communication skills including verbal, written, meeting facilitation and negotiation
Interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients
A proven ability to work across departments collaboratively to resolve issues, drive projects to closure, achieve desired results / goals, and / or implement change as needed
A proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (Required within 3 years of starting this position.)
The following qualifications are preferred, but not required :
Familiarity with electric distribution infrastructure
Experience leading complex projects, with impacts to large energy customers, municipalities, or agencies
Demonstrated success in identifying and managing risk
Communicating and reporting project status to senior leadership
