Project Coordinator – 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Location: Chesapeake, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months contract
Pay Rate: $25 - $35/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking Project Coordinators with an engineering or architectural background to support federal construction projects. This role involves handling client submittals, specifications, design analysis, site investigation reports, and multi-page narratives. Candidates with a military background in an administrative role will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile, format, and proofread project narratives, ensuring consistency beyond just clerical accuracy.
- Manage client submittals, supplier invoicing, contracts, and meeting minutes.
- Utilize OnBase software for document management.
- Facilitate communication between project managers, clients, and vendors.
- Coordinate training programs and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with project cost forecasting, reporting, and administrative closeout tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience (seeking mid-level professionals).
- Bachelor’s Degree 8 years experience, OR Associate’s Degree 10 years experience, OR High School Diploma/GED 11 years experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate confidently with all levels of an organization.
