Sr. Industrial/Construction Estimator

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial/Construction Estimator in Portage, MI. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing project requirements, gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing accurate estimates for construction projects. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are bid accurately and competitively while meeting the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with clients to understand and define project requirements.

· Research and analyze quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and labor costs.

· Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies specific to each project.

· Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely completion of proposals.

· Prepare and submit detailed proposals to potential clients.

· Develop expertise in the company’s estimating systems and internal processes.

· Interpret project scopes of work and documentation to create effective bidding strategies.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in estimation, procurement, or project management is preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Ability to work well within a team and maintain a professional, positive attitude in the workplace.

· Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

· Experience with Quote Soft or similar estimating software is a plus.
