What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wastewater Treatment Specialist position at Planet Forward?
Job Description
This is an 11-month contract position located in Southport, NC.
The ideal candidate should be local to the area for 24 hour response to call-outs and alternating weekend inspections. Preferred NC wastewater certification and pump repair experience but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all equipment associated with the individual's primary service line.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of a Grade III Wastewater treatment plant, Spray Irrigation System and Class II Wastewater Collection System.
- Conduct routine testing of water and record results.
- Maintain calibration of plant instrumentation and on-line analyzers according to permitting agencies' specifications.
- Evaluate data and information pertaining to proper operation of the facility.
- Makes necessary adjustments ensuring treatment processes operate in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct inspection of pump stations and collection system.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance and repairs on pumps and equipment.
- File required regulatory documents.
