About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced E-Billing Manager to oversee our firm's electronic billing processes. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of client invoices through various e-billing platforms, maintaining compliance with client-specific guidelines, and leading our dedicated billing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record of managing the full e-billing cycle within a legal environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the end-to-end e-billing process, including the preparation, submission, and diligent follow-up of electronic invoices via various e-billing platforms.
- Strictly adhere to and enforce client-specific billing guidelines, proactively addressing any discrepancies or rejections to ensure timely payment.
- Serve as a key point of contact, effectively liaising with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to investigate and resolve complex billing inquiries and issues.
- Oversee the generation, thorough review, and accurate distribution of client invoices.
- Maintain meticulous billing records, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
- Provide strong leadership and supervision to the billing team, fostering efficiency, adherence to best practices, and a collaborative work environment.
- Develop and analyze comprehensive billing reports to track the firm’s revenue, identify trends, and evaluate billing efficiency metrics.
- Proactively identify potential areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions to optimize the overall billing workflow.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all billing-related matters, building and maintaining strong, positive relationships to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive guidance and training to the e-billing team on e-billing systems, procedures, and best practices.
- Cultivate a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring the team meets deadlines, achieves performance goals, and operates effectively.
What You'll Need:
Proven proficiency with Elite 3e billing software.- In-depth understanding of legal billing practices, diverse client billing guidelines, and relevant compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage, mentor, and motivate a team to achieve results.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive billing experience, preferably within a law firm or other professional services environment.
