Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Market Access Training to lead global training efforts across our commercial organization. This Sr. Director-level role will play a critical part in developing and executing world-class training programs for sales, physicians, and internal stakeholders—particularly in Market Access and healthcare reimbursement.
As a key leader, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to build curriculum, drive engagement, and continuously innovate training platforms and tools.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global strategy and execution of Market Access and commercial training initiatives
- Design and deliver curriculum for new hire training, advanced sales training, annual meetings, and ongoing development programs
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Market Access, R&D, Marketing, Sales) to align training with clinical, technical, and commercial goals
- Innovate across multiple formats – live sessions, LMS, virtual learning, labs, and hands-on simulations
- Build and manage a global training calendar and training resources
- Incorporate real-time field insights and data to evolve training content
- Drive excellence in training delivery, process improvement, and content development
- Manage vendor relationships, field trainers, and training tools across geographies
🔹 Ideal Candidate Has:
- 15 years in sales or marketing in the ophthalmic or medical device/pharma space
- 7 years leading training programs (including Market Access or reimbursement)
- 3–5 years in a sales leadership role preferred
- Strong command of clinical and technical training design
- Proven ability to lead and innovate global training strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
- Experience developing physician/customer-facing content
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Science, or related field)
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and collaborative environment
- Based in or willing to relocate to Aliso Viejo, CA (onsite role)
