Director, IT SAP Business Process Architect

Planet Technology has partnered with a life sciences manufacturing end client based in the greater Boston, MA area in their search for a Director, IT SAP Business Process Architect. The Director will be a key leader and subject matter expert in SAP S/4HANA 2022 Private Cloud and FIORI applications, driving SAP initiatives across business operations. This role will oversee SAP strategy, ensuring best practices and compliance within a GXP and SOX-regulated environment while managing change through the full SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Align SAP Strategy – Partner with IT, senior leadership, and executives to ensure SAP solutions support business strategic goals.
• Optimize IT Services – Strengthen business relationships, enhance satisfaction, and drive proactive IT support.
• Enhance SAP & Technology – Maintain SAP IT roadmaps, collaborate with the SAP Technical Architect, and drive continuous improvements across SAP modules, FIORI, and integrated systems.
• Lead Innovation & Adoption – Champion SAP S/4HANA Cloud and other strategic IT initiatives to maximize business value.
• Drive Project & Vendor Management – Oversee system development, project execution, RFP processes, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
• Develop & Lead Teams – Provide mentorship, training, and performance management for IT SAP staff while serving as a thought leader in technology.
• Ensure Financial & Operational Excellence – Manage the IT budget, optimize costs, uphold service agreements, and promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in SAP solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, FIORI applications, and enterprise IT systems.
• Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA across various business workstreams like RTR, OTC, PTP, MTD, IBP, SAC, etc.
• Strong experience managing full SDLC, RFP processes, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations within a regulated environment.
• Deep understanding of GXP, SOX compliance, and industry best practices for SAP implementation and governance.
• Ability to engage with executives, managers, and technical teams, fostering cross-functional partnerships and IT service excellence
