Prophet 21 ERP Administrator (Cloud-Based)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Prophet 21 ERP Administrator to support our multi-site distribution client’s cloud-based instance of P21 Web (Prophet 21 ERP). In this role, you will be responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance of the ERP system. You will be the go-to person for handling user issues, system configurations, data integrity, and general system maintenance. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and has a strong understanding of ERP platforms, specifically Prophet 21.

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration:
• Administer and maintain the Prophet 21 Web (Cloud-based) ERP system across multiple distribution sites.
• Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring appropriate access control and data security.
• Oversee system integrations, ensuring seamless communication between P21 and other business systems (e.g., WMS, CRM, Accounting, etc.).
• Regularly monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high levels of efficiency and uptime.
• Manage software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure that the ERP system stays current with the latest features and security standards.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
• Provide timely support for end-users experiencing issues or errors within Prophet 21.
• Diagnose and resolve system, application, and user-related problems efficiently, collaborating with internal IT teams as needed.
• Track and document issues using a ticketing system, ensuring that all support requests are handled in a prioritized and timely manner.
• Training & Support:
• Develop and maintain user manuals, documentation, and best practice guides for internal teams.
• Provide end-user training on Prophet 21 features and functionality, ensuring users are self-sufficient and productive.
• Offer ongoing support to end-users, including troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues and providing expert advice on system utilization.
• Data Integrity & Reporting:
• Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity within the system.
• Assist in generating standard and custom reports to meet business needs.
• Work with teams to troubleshoot discrepancies in data and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Process Optimization:
• Collaborate with business teams to recommend and implement process improvements within the ERP system.
• Assist in optimizing workflows, system configurations, and user processes to enhance efficiency across business operations.
• Work with leadership to identify new features or modules in Prophet 21 that can add value to the business.
  

Qualifications

• Experience:
• 2 years of experience supporting or administering Prophet 21 ERP system (P21 Web/Cloud version).
• Prior experience in troubleshooting and supporting cloud-based ERP systems in a distribution environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with system integrations, including APIs, middleware, and third-party applications.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Prophet 21 ERP, with hands-on experience in user management, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of distribution processes and workflows, particularly in inventory management, order fulfillment, and financials.
• Proficient in creating and running reports, handling data imports/exports, and performing system audits.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and APIs for integrations.
• Knowledge of database management (SQL, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms, including SaaS applications and cloud-based IT infrastructure.
