Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff using the POS system.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, ensuring adherence to cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a full dining restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage with guests effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated during shifts.
- Bartending experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
