Position Overview:
Monitor and maintain processes, equipment and provide direction and training to operators to ensure the process is running within specified parameters.
Responsibilities Would Include:
- Perform press set-up and make adjustments as needed, press maintenance, operate presses and perform PM’s. Be responsible for all tooling and maintain accurate inventory. Disassemble, repair, reassemble and maintain production equipment including inspection and shot blasting; remove and install tooling. Work with inside and outside maintenance teams to diagnose and repair equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, adjust and maintain equipment
- Direct, train and instruct employees wherever necessary to effectively complete work assignments. Monitor activities such as samples, in-process checks of part dimension accuracy or general Pressing procedures for compliance to specification. Effectively work with engineering jointly on troubleshooting and process improvements
- Trained ISO auditor with thorough understanding of specification systems. Maintain logs, SPC and databases used in the control of processes or equipment. Do transactions in SAP and other on-line systems. Fill in for manufacturing group leaders as needed.
- Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area(s), machines, tools and equipment. Observe company policies at all times. Monitor process environment and equipment cleanliness.
- Effectively drive, promote, perform and sustain 5S including implementation of one-point lessons and visual standards
Required Education and Experience:
- High School graduate or GED
- SPC training required.
- Pass visual, hearing and physical tests and successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck Training course per standard policy.
