About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead a remote team of inside sales agents specializing in group benefits. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the team effectively sells our suite of group benefit solutions to businesses. The ideal candidate will leverage StoryBrand marketing principles to refine our messaging and The Challenger Sales methodology to develop a high-performing, consultative sales team. This role requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of group benefits sales, and a proven track record of scaling teams and territories in a competitive market.
This position is fully remote but requires you to be located in Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex.
What you"ll do
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of remote inside sales agents, ensuring they achieve and exceed sales targets.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and help agents sustain a pipeline of suitable appointments and closing stages.
Provide coaching and training to enhance the skills and product knowledge of the sales team.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales team effectiveness.
Collaborate with supporting teams in the Sales Operations at Planstin to ensure agents have the necessary tools, resources, and support to succeed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospecting business and large clients.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Drive agent recruitment and retention efforts to maintain a high-performing sales force.
Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the insurance or group benefits industry.
Life and Health Insurance License in the state of Texas
Proven success in managing and growing remote sales teams.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Salesforce and GoHighLevel experience is a plus!
