Job Overview:
As a Field Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of landscape maintenance by working closely with the crews, clients and management ensuring the highest quality standards of work are met and maintaining positive relationships. You will manage crew performance and ensure efficient delivery of landscape maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor a crew of landscapers and maintenance workers, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
- Assign daily tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely completion of work according to specifications.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members
- Client Relations:
- Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Coordinate property walkthroughs, providing status updates, and suggesting improvements.
· Project Management:
- Ensure that all landscape maintenance services are performed according to the contract specifications, on schedule, and within budget.
Quality Control & Safety:
- Monitor landscaping activities to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of work completed by crews to ensure it meets the company's standards and client expectations.
- Address and resolve any quality concerns promptly, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Scheduling & Logistics:
- Manage the work schedule to maximize crew productivity, ensuring service delivery is timely and within budget.
- Ensure all required materials, equipment, and tools are available for the team to perform their tasks effectively.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including timecards, work logs, and client communications.
- Provide regular reports to the operations manager regarding team performance, project status, and any client feedback.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and equipment, coordinating with the office for replacements and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, horticulture, and pest management.
- Familiarity with landscaping equipment and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must meet state requirements for drug and alcohol use.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs and seasonal demands.
- Travel to various sites within the service area.
- Physical demands include walking, lifting, bending and carrying equipment up to 50lb.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Certification in landscape maintenance or turf management.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Experience working with HOA’s
