Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press machines according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
- Ensure proper alignment and positioning of metal parts before bending or forming.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain precision and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
- Communicate any equipment malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with material handling and other fabrication tasks as needed.
Specific Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating a brake press or working in metal fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and written instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing and machine operation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
