R&D Scientist
The R&D Scientist is a position that reports to the R&D Manager. This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to ongoing R&D Operations. The R&D Scientist will perform a variety of formulating duties. This team member will also assist in developing and testing new products and maintenance of current products. Will be responsible for providing assistance with ingredients, to include specifications, sourcing, testing ingredients and maintaining a database for ingredients.
- Develop and characterize new products and improve existing products.
- Assist with scale-up and bench-top formulas in the laboratory.
- Request ingredient information including required documentation, tiered pricing and lead times.
- Create and maintain raw material specifications and finished product specifications.
- Prepare lab samples for shipment and customer review.
- Modify current products to improve performance on manufacturing equipment.
- Participate as a team member, support the company mission and vision and contribute to the pursuit of the company’s goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Food Science (strongly recommended), Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field) or 3 years’ experience in laboratory, R&D and/or Production field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards including GMP.
- Industrial experience helpful, not required.
- Must be a US Citizen or have permanent resident status.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
