What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Nursery Workers - ORDER PULLERS, Nursery Labor, RECEIVING position at Plant World, Inc?
We are looking for energetic team members to pull orders, load customer's vehicles, unload deliveries, use forklifts and electric carts to move product into stock. Wage per hour between $13.00 to $15.00 per hour depending on experience, plant knowledge, forklift certification or other related job skills.
Experience in the wholesale nursery or garden center is preferred but not required, will train. Agriculture and horticulture knowledge a plus. Jobs would include
ORDER PULLER; use an electric cart to gather plant material and assist loading customer vehicles, pull product from stock and move to hold areas for future pick-up, review orders for accuracy.
UNLOADING/MERCHANDISING: Unloading new product, tagging and placing product into stock.
Work is outdoors on our 20-acre nursery. You must be able to take direction, be on time and meet your work schedule to ensure our customer are properly and quickly serviced. This position requires the ability to work 8 hours a day, standing and bending in a variety of outdoor weather conditions and ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted..
Responsibilities
- Pull material from the nursery stock to fill orders and assist putting product in customer vehicles or hold areas for future pick-up.
- Receive and check incoming deliveries.
- Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy.
- Re-stock inventory manually or with equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards
Skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outside and in a greenhouse in both summer and winter conditions.
- Work well with others, co-workers, and supervisors.
