Plantation Palms Golf Club, located in Land O' Lakes, FL, is seeking a passionate and professional Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and support the seamless operation of our golf facility. The ideal candidate will embody the highest standards of professionalism and customer service while assisting with various facets of golf operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director of Golf to manage all aspects of the golf operation, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering expert advice and support to both members and guests.
- Supervise outside service staff to maintain consistent, top-quality service for all customers.
- Ensure accurate billing and financial procedures are followed at the end of each shift.
- Assist in overseeing the efficient management of the practice facility.
- Offer golf instruction and clinics, utilizing effective teaching methods and adhering to established guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Director of Golf to coordinate scheduling, training, and development of golf shop personnel.
- Assist with merchandise management, including purchasing, inventory control, and promotions.
- Stay well-informed about club events and services, promoting these to enhance member engagement.
- Support the management of the handicap program and assist in the planning of golf operations.
- Help organize and manage tournaments and outings, ensuring each event’s success.
- Enforce course rules and regulations, fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for all players.
- Oversee guest check-in and fee collection, coordinating with the starter to manage play efficiently.
- Assist in managing the reservation system, ensuring smooth play progression.
- Contribute to the development and distribution of promotional and informational materials.
- Support custom club fitting and repair services to meet members' needs.
- Create a welcoming environment by learning and using the names of members and guests regularly.
- Help manage the golf car fleet, ensuring proper oversight, rentals, and maintenance.
- Fulfill the requirements for PGA membership and maintain an active classification with the PGA of America.
