GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
The IT Manager oversees the organization's IT infrastructure, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and website management to ensure smooth, secure, and effective operations. This individual plays a critical role in developing technology strategies, maintaining GIS data for operational and planning purposes, and managing the organization's online presence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities :
Information Technology (IT) :
- Manage and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across departments.
- Safeguard data and systems by implementing state-of-the-art cybersecurity measures.
- Lead the design and execution of technology roadmaps that align with organizational goals.
- Support organizational initiatives through the development and implementation of IT strategies and solutions.
GIS Management :
Maintain and expand GIS capabilities to support operational needs and strategic objectives.Create custom maps, spatial analyses, and data visualizations to enhance decision-making.Serve as the primary advisor for GIS integration into new projects or initiatives.Develop standards and best practices for GIS data management and usage organization wide.Website Management :
Oversee all aspects of website functionality, ensuring it aligns with the organization's mission and is accessible to all users.Manage regular website updates, including content, features, and integrations.Monitor online analytics to assess website performance and recommend enhancements.Act as the liaison between stakeholders and web development teams when updates or redesigns are required.Application Management :
Oversee the implementation, integration, and maintenance of organizational applications to ensure seamless operations.Manage application performance, updates, and security patches to enhance usability and efficiency.Collaborate with departments to select and deploy applications that meet specific operational needs.Provide technical support and training to ensure proper application use and adoption across the organization.NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge :
Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity.Advanced knowledge of GIS software and spatial data management (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).Familiarity with website development and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, including implementation and maintenance.Knowledge of IT best practices, disaster recovery strategies, and compliance standards.Skills :
Proficiency in IT infrastructure management and troubleshooting.Expertise in GIS mapping, spatial data analysis, and visualization tools.Strong project management skills to oversee multiple technology initiatives simultaneously.Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex technical challenges.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and collaboration.Proficiency in data analytics and reporting to drive informed decision-making.Abilities :

Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field (required).Experience :
At least 3-5 years of IT management experience, including familiarity with GIS, website management, and application management.Skills and Competencies :
In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and database management.Proficiency in WordPress.Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize applications and websites.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred Certifications :
