As a result of our rapid growth and expanding operations, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team.
Our Operations Manager is responsible for business operations and the development of processes and systems to support new product launch, as well as steady state manufacturing, implementation of best practices, and productivity improvements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Required Tasks)
- Drive the brown field install and stand up of a heavy steel fabrication facility to support major US DoD contracts.
- Oversee the planning, development, acquisition and install of facility capabilities to support factory transition and new product launch.
- Recruit and develop an empowered leadership team to drive a high performing facility.
- Utilize benchmark metrics to establish processes that lead to continuous improvement and drive cost of quality initiatives.
- Establish a culture of excellence across the operations organization to develop a dedicated workforce and improve recruiting.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure on time delivery of quality products
- Lead highly visible, strategic projects, identifying appropriate resources and mobilizing cross-functional teams to achieve the desired business outcome
- Develop key metrics and systems to measure business performance of the organization against strategic and tactical operational objectives
- Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly quality and productivity standards, holds management team members accountable for meeting or exceeding goals
- Drive production efficiencies through cost-effective management of procurement, production planning, inventory, labor, and resources to reduce costs and improve organizational profitability.
- Oversee all new business quoting, resource allocation and program execution across all facility operations.
- Monitor and direct others to act in accordance with company initiatives, processes and methodology
- Interface with Directors/Managers of other functions within the company to promote interdepartmental communication and synchronization and participates in the development and successful implementation of company-wide goals and objectives
- Follows all safety policies and procedures

SKILL SET (Preferred Skills)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead teams of employees at various levels of the organization
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
