As a result of our rapid growth and expanding operations, we are actively seeking experienced CMM Programmers to join our team on first and second shift. These key roles are essential to supporting our increasing project demands, ensuring the continued high quality standards, and to help drive our success through this exciting phase of growth. Our regular work schedule is a four day, 10-hour schedule Monday - Thursday, however, we are working Friday and some Saturdays due to launch requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- On Time completion of First Article and/or PPAP Dimensional Analysis to the Customer and company milestones with limited supervision
- Maintain Incoming Quality Inspection requirements daily to prevent production downtime for parts requiring Dimension Verification
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Coordinate and prioritize Dimension Analysis activity with Layout personnel based on Internal and External timing requirements
- Create and verify FARO (Polyworks) and CMM Programming (PC-DMIS) for all new/revised components.
- Operate Faro ScanArm or CMM
- Review GD&T requirements on all new parts and existing parts undergoing engineering changes
- Provide Engineering and Quality with recommendations for Check/Hold fixture design
- Verify the design of all component and assembly inspection fixtures. Part of approval process.
- Performs all dimensional layouts and capability studies for all FAI/Production Part Approval Process submissions.
- Calibration at required frequencies of inspection fixtures, once fixtures (attribute/variable) are approved, and recertification utilizing the FARO ScanArm.
- Perform Incoming Quality Inspection (IQA) for components requiring dimension verification.
- Assist in Measurement System Analysis (GRR) as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
SKILL SET
- 5-10 years of Faro Arm/CMM work experience preferred
- Well Versed with Model-Based GD&T Inspection technology
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, models, specifications and standards and communicate critical dimension data to Engineering and Quality
- Knows how to interpret cosmetic and workmanship standards when conducting visual inspection
- Understanding of AQL sampling plans (Z 1.4 or other)
- Must be able to perform complex surface plate setups
- Must be able to perform component inspection using basic Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (Digital Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills to include a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, some knowledge of quality software
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP requirements
